Art Basel

With fairs in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong, Art Basel stages the world's premier art shows for modern and contemporary works. Defined by its host city and region, each show is unique. This is reflected in the participating galleries, artworks presented, and the content of parallel programming produced in collaboration with local institutions for each edition.
Art Basel plays a vital role in helping galleries to nurture the careers of their artists. In addition to ambitious stands featuring leading galleries from around the world, each show's exhibition sectors spotlight the latest developments in the visual arts, offering visitors new ideas, new inspiration and new contacts in the art world.
As partner of Art Basel since 2006, AXA ART works with the fair to raise collectors’ awareness of the fragility of art works and of the straightforward steps they can take to conserve them.

AXA Research Fund

AXA ART is working in partnership with the AXA Research Fund, the science philanthropy initiative of the AXA Group, which seeks to advance knowledge about global risks for the benefit of society.
Since 2014, the AXA ART Research Grant has been incorporated into the Fund, which is expert in grant and award handling. The strength of this collaboration will enable AXA ART to better protect today’s cultural heritage for tomorrow’s generations.

Working with the Fund, AXA ART will continue to play a leading and visible role not only in preserving specific works of art but also in developing new conservation methods and techniques.
Generous funding is made available every year to selected awardees, via the AXA Research Fund’s own robust, independent and transparent scientific and academic assessment processes.
Out of the Fund’s many major programs, AXA ART will specifically support the Post Doctoral Fellowships for socio-economic risks within cultural institutions. Each year, we help support some thirty talented young researchers at the outset of their careers. The Fellowships are available globally, run for a fixed-term of 24 months and are worth up to €130.000.
