On November 10, 2010 the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA) launched a new exhibition furnished by the National Gallery of Canada (NGC). Aptly named NGC@MOCCA the new three year partnership, sponsored in part by AXA ART, will see works and curatorial talent from the NGC loaned to MOCCA for a series of exhibitions.
AXA ART is proud to be a multi-year sponsor of the NGC@MOCCA partnership which is only the second loan partnership of its type in Canada, the first being between the NGC and the Art Gallery of Alberta, begun in 2009. The partnership perfectly responds to one of MOCCA’s goals to build a network of partnerships, locally, nationally and internationally as a catalyst for local-to-global connectivity and engagement.
Over the coming years unique exhibitions of NGC loaned contemporary artworks will be organized at MOCCA by a variety of guest curators.
